About Me
Olivia Vavroch is a Portland-based interdisciplinary artist whose work incorporates texture, artifacts, nostalgia, and layers of playful details to tell stories of compassion and emotional interconnectivity across time and space.
Her theatre design work, including scenic, costume, set dressing, and props design, is immersive and expansive, inviting actors and theatre-goers to closely observe and discover the details she weaves into the worlds she builds. Her design work has been seen in over twenty theatrical productions in the Portland area.
Through her Vavroch Glass & Art Studio, Olivia also teaches stained glass and prop food sculpture classes at Portland Community College.
Her fake food sculptural artwork has been featured in The Portland Mercury and on Think Out Loud with Dave Miller on OPB.
Olivia is currently developing a body of multimedia sculptures that visualize the impacts of generational and complex trauma in the body. Currently, this work is on site at the Seattle-based art installation Inconvenience Store as well as at Basecamp Studios in Seattle.
